Automating Social Media for Your Property
Wink’s Social feature uses AI to generate, schedule, and publish social media content for your property. This guide covers the full journey from setup to your first published post.

Step 1 — Connect your social accounts
Section titled “Step 1 — Connect your social accounts”Before Social can post on your behalf, you need to connect at least one social platform.
- Go to https://social.wink.travel and log in.
- Navigate to
Connectionsfrom the sidebar. See Connections. - Connect your social accounts. Available platforms:
- WinkLinks — Free, included on all tiers.
- Facebook — Requires a Facebook Business Page.
- Instagram — Requires an Instagram Business Account linked to Facebook.
- Follow the authorization flow for each platform.
Step 2 — Configure your settings
Section titled “Step 2 — Configure your settings”- Navigate to
Preferencesfrom the sidebar. See Settings. - Select your preferred customization — this controls display currency, language, and itinerary on social posts.
- Set the approver name and email — the person who reviews posts before they go out.
- Decide on auto-approve — enable this only after you’re comfortable with the quality.
Step 3 — Choose your content creators
Section titled “Step 3 — Choose your content creators”Content creators determine what type of posts AI generates for you.
- Navigate to the Content creators section in Settings.
- Enable the creators that match your property’s inventory:
- Property — General property promotion.
- Room type — Showcase specific rooms with pricing.
- Restaurant, Spa, Activity — Promote your facilities.
- Destination — Helpful content about your area.
- User sentiment — Posts based on aggregated guest reviews.
- Funny — Lighthearted, engaging content.
- Adjust weights — higher weight means that creator type is selected more often.
Step 4 — Set your tone and post types
Section titled “Step 4 — Set your tone and post types”- Navigate to Tone of voice in Settings.
- Select the tones that match your brand (e.g., Luxury, Friendly, Adventurous).
- Adjust weights to control how often each tone is used.
- Do the same for Post types — Transactional, Awareness, and Sentiment.
Step 5 — Set timezone and languages
Section titled “Step 5 — Set timezone and languages”- Navigate to Timezones in Settings.
- Select the languages you want content created in.
- Select the timezone for your target audience — posts will be scheduled at peak hours in that timezone.
Step 6 — Review and approve posts
Section titled “Step 6 — Review and approve posts”Once configured, AI will start generating posts. If auto-approve is off:
- You’ll receive an email when new posts are ready for review.
- Navigate to the post grid. See Posts.
- Review each post — you can approve, revise (let AI regenerate), or reject.
- Approved posts are scheduled for publication at the optimal time.
Step 7 — Track performance
Section titled “Step 7 — Track performance”- Navigate to
Analyticsfrom the sidebar. See Analytics. - Monitor views, clicks, shares, and engagement rates.
- Drill down by platform (Facebook, Instagram, WinkLinks).
- Use the insights to adjust your content creator weights and tones over time.
The approval lifecycle
Section titled “The approval lifecycle”Every post follows this flow:
Draft → Pending approval → Approved → Scheduled → Published
Posts can also be Rejected (discarded), Paused (temporarily held), or Failed (error during publishing).
