Translation Services
Wink integrates with Google Translate to automatically translate your property content into 40+ languages, helping you reach a global audience without manual translation work.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”-
You create content in your primary language — either manually or using AI-powered content generation.
-
Wink creates translation tasks for each target language. Translation tasks run in the background and process your content through Google Translate.
-
Translated content is stored alongside your original content. Each translation is linked to the original, so updates to the source content can trigger retranslation.
-
Travelers see content in their language based on their browser settings, selected locale, or GeoIP detection.
What gets translated
Section titled “What gets translated”Translation covers all user-facing text across your inventory:
- Property descriptions — Welcome text, highlights, summaries.
- Room descriptions — Guest room names, descriptions, features.
- Facility descriptions — Restaurants, spas, meeting rooms, activities, attractions.
- Add-on descriptions — Packages and bundles.
- Place descriptions — Points of interest and nearby attractions.
- User-generated content — Reviews and other guest-submitted text.
Supported languages
Section titled “Supported languages”Wink supports 40+ languages including Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Croatian, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
AI + Translation pipeline
Section titled “AI + Translation pipeline”For the fastest path to multilingual content:
- Register your property using AI-assisted registration — AI generates content in your primary language.
- Translation kicks in automatically — Wink creates translation tasks for all enabled languages.
- Review key translations — While machine translation handles the bulk, review important translations (like your welcome text) for accuracy.
This pipeline means a single AI generation session can produce polished listings in 40+ languages.
- Write clear source content. Machine translation works best with clear, simple sentences. Avoid idioms and colloquialisms that may not translate well.
- Review high-traffic languages first. If most of your guests speak French and German, prioritize reviewing those translations.
- Update the source, not the translation. If you need to change translated content, update the original source text and let translation run again. This keeps all languages consistent.
