What is Wink for hotels?

Wink is the commerce infrastructure for hospitality — built for hotels that want to control supply, create bookable demand, activate partners, and own their direct bookings. Hotels manage content, rates, offers, channels and booking rules in Extranet. Booking Engine then powers booking on the hotel website and fulfils the transaction for partner, social, consumer and AI routes — so every demand source resolves into one checkout the hotel controls.

The problem

Hotel demand moved. Hotel control didn’t.

Guests discover hotels everywhere — search, social, partners, communities, events and AI. The hard part is what happens after attention turns into booking intent.

The old way

  • Demand scattered across links and channels
  • Supply rebuilt for every channel
  • A checkout that only sells the room
  • No attribution — demand leaks to OTAs
  • The guest relationship handed away

With Wink

  • One hotel-controlled supply layer
  • Every route resolves to one checkout
  • Sell the whole stay, not just the room
  • Source and partner attribution preserved
  • You keep the guest and the next booking

Every property type

Built for every kind of hotel.

Wink is a direct booking platform built for independent and boutique hotels — but it works for any property that owns its supply, from a single guesthouse to a multi-property group or chain.

Boutique hotels

Design-led boutique and lifestyle hotels that want a branded booking experience and a direct guest relationship — not another OTA listing.

Resorts

Resorts selling the whole stay — rooms plus packages, dining, spa, activities and transfers — in one branded, mobile-first checkout.

Serviced apartments & aparthotels

Extended-stay and serviced-apartment operators managing longer stays, rate plans, availability and add-ons from one place.

Guesthouses & B&Bs

Small guesthouses and B&Bs that want a free, mobile-first booking engine and shareable, bookable links to sell direct.

Hostels

Hostels and budget properties turning social, QR-code and bio-link traffic into direct, commission-free bookings.

Hotel groups & chains

Independent groups, regional collections and larger chains managing content, rates and distribution for every property under one account.

Hotel FAQs

The questions hotels ask before they start.

Which Wink product should a hotel start with?
Most hotels start with Extranet and Booking Engine because Extranet controls supply and Booking Engine powers the hotel website's booking. From there, hotels can activate Studio, Social, WinkLinks, partner discovery, Traveliko, Agentic AI, or developer access depending on their demand strategy.
Can Wink power booking on a hotel website?
Yes — that's its primary job for hotels. Booking Engine powers the hotel website's booking path, including room selection, rate plans, add-ons, payment, confirmation and hotel-specific booking data.
Can my hotel be booked by AI agents and AI assistants?
Yes — and it's automatic once you're set up. As soon as your supply, rates and availability are live on Wink (via Extranet), your hotel becomes discoverable and bookable by approved AI agents through Wink's REST API and hosted MCP server. The agent searches, books and pays in one flow through Booking Engine — no separate AI integration per hotel. That's the difference between an AI that recommends your hotel and sends the guest elsewhere to book, and one that completes a confirmed, paid booking while you keep supply control and the guest relationship.
Can hotels work with partners through Wink?
Yes. The underlying network helps hotels manage partner access and sales channels. Partners create demand through Studio, WinkLinks, QR codes, campaign links, storefronts and recommendations, and Booking Engine fulfils the transaction for those routes.
Can Wink sell more than rooms?
Where configured, Booking Engine can support rooms, packages, F&B, spa, experiences, transfers, add-ons, early check-in, late checkout and other hotel offers.
Does the hotel keep control of the guest relationship?
Yes. The Wink model is designed so hotels keep supply, offer rules, booking context and the guest relationship closer to the hotel rather than handing the full relationship to a third-party channel.
How does Wink compare to OTAs on commission?
Wink direct bookings cost 5.5% all-in (1.5% Wink platform + 4.0% payment), versus 15–25% typical OTA commission. On a $1M-volume hotel that gap is $95,000–$195,000 kept every year — plus the hotel keeps the guest email and the next booking. When a partner or creator drives the booking, a 10% default commission applies on top of the 5.5% (taken after Wink's 5.5%) — about 15% all-in, still below the OTA range, and you still keep the guest. Full detail on the Pricing page.
Is Wink a good fit for a small or boutique independent hotel?
Yes — Wink is built specifically for independent and boutique hotels. Your supply, rates and availability stay hotel-controlled in Extranet; Booking Engine powers direct booking on your own website at 5.5% all-in (versus 15–25% typical OTA commission); and every partner, social, consumer and AI route resolves into the same checkout, with the guest relationship and data kept by the hotel. It's free to set up, live today, and works whether you run one property, a small group, or a larger chain.
