Free to use. We earn when you earn.

No setup fee, no monthly platform fee, no contract. Hotels pay a flat 5.5% on bookings. Partners, creators, developers and AI agents earn when they drive one.

What a booking costs

What the hotel pays — with or without a partner.

Every booking carries one flat 5.5% to Wink. If someone else drove the booking, they earn a commission on top — and it’s still well below the OTAs.

Direct booking · no partner

5.5%all-in, paid by the hotel

The guest books through the hotel’s own website, links, QR codes or WinkLinks. Nobody else drove it, so there’s no commission — the hotel keeps the rest, plus the guest and the data.

On a $100 booking

  • Wink fee — 5.5% (1.5% platform + 4.0% payment)−$5.50
  • Hotel keeps$94.50
Partner-driven booking

~15%all-in, paid by the hotel

A partner, creator, developer or AI agent drove the booking. They earn a 10% default commission, taken after Wink’s 5.5% — still below the 15–25% OTAs charge, and the hotel keeps the guest.

On a $100 booking

  • Wink fee — 5.5%−$5.50
  • Commission — 10% of the remaining $94.50−$9.45
  • Hotel keeps$85.05

The 10% ($9.45) goes to whoever drove the booking. Attribution is preserved for 6 months per click.

Payment & merchant of record

Two ways payment can work.

By default Wink handles payment as the merchant of record. Licensed operators can run payment themselves and pay less.

Default · ~95% of bookings

Wink is the merchant of record

5.5%all-in / booking

  • Wink handles payment end to end — checkout, cards, 3DS, multi-currency
  • 1.5% Wink platform fee + 4.0% payment fee, bundled — no separate processor contract
  • Wink carries the travel-agency licences and is responsible for the funds
  • Funds released to the hotel at guest check-in
Licensed operators

You are the merchant of record

1.5%platform fee only

  • You take payment and pay the hotel yourself
  • Wink charges its 1.5% platform fee only — no payment fee
  • Requires a valid travel-agency licence in your region
  • Invoiced monthly; you're responsible for funds, licences and disbursement

Payout/disbursement fees vary by country and disbursement method, and are quoted in-account when funds are ready.

No setup fee. No monthly fee. No contract.

You only pay when confirmed booking value is created. Everything a hotel needs to run direct is free to set up and use.

Beyond bookings

The platform is free. Two extras are usage-based.

Nearly everything is free forever. Only two things are ever metered — AI content in Social, and high-volume API for developers — and each has a free monthly allowance.

Free forever — no allowance, no metering

Pricing questions before you join.

Straight answers on what hotels pay, what partners earn, payment, Social and the API.

What does a direct hotel booking cost?
5.5% all-in on confirmed direct bookings — 1.5% Wink platform fee plus a 4.0% payment fee. No setup fee, no monthly platform fee, no contract. Payout/disbursement fees vary by country and method and are quoted in-account.
What does the hotel pay when a partner drives the booking?
About 15% all-in. The demand source (partner, creator, developer or AI agent) earns a 10% default commission, calculated after Wink's 5.5% is taken at source. On a $100 booking: Wink takes $5.50, the 10% commission is $9.45 of the remaining $94.50, and the hotel keeps $85.05 — still below the 15–25% OTAs charge, and the hotel keeps the guest and the data.
Who can earn a commission on Wink?
Any demand source that drives a confirmed booking — partners (agencies, DMCs, tour operators, publishers, loyalty programs), travel creators, developers, and AI agents or platforms. The default is a 10% commission with 6-month-per-click attribution. It's free to join, and hotels can agree bespoke rates (up to 25% in some direct deals).
Who is the merchant of record?
By default, Wink is the merchant of record: Wink handles payment end to end, carries the travel-agency licences and is responsible for the funds — that's the 5.5% model. Licensed operators who want to take payment and pay the hotel themselves can be their own merchant of record and pay only Wink's 1.5% platform fee, invoiced monthly.
Is payment processing included in the fee?
Yes. Payment is handled by Wink as the merchant of record and is bundled into the 5.5% all-in fee (1.5% Wink platform + 4.0% payment). There is no separate payment-processor contract.
Does Traveliko cost more than direct?
No. Traveliko bookings use the same 5.5% as direct hotel bookings, with no extra OTA-style commission layer. Traveliko is a channel hotels opt into.
Does Social have a monthly subscription?
No. Social is usage-based and applies only to AI content — no subscription, no seats. Manual posts and WinkLinks publishing are always free. Each account gets a free monthly allowance, then pays per use: $1.50 an image post, $2.50 an AI-image post, $14.00 an AI-video post, and $0.05 per AI reply or chatbot message.
How is API usage priced, and who pays it?
Only developers building on the API — never hotels. The Consumer and Booking Engine APIs are free. The Partner API includes 10,000 hotel-days per month free, then $0.0001 per unit, metered on use. Larger platform integrations may agree custom commercial terms.
